Are you aware that you can use the billions of social media users to your advantage to get more followers to your blog or online business?

Why not cash in on those internet users for your benefit since they are cruising the web anyway and checking their social media accounts numerous times per day?

Check out this chart:

The chart above shows a traffic flow report from Google Analytics for May 2018 for my website BaseballMomStuff.com, where I blog about stuff that relates to baseball parenting. Over that 30 days, I had over 4,800 sessions from  Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter visitors. That’s huge!

Imagine that only 20% of them clicked on one of my affiliate links. That’s 960 people just from social media alone that clicked my links and possibly bought something

And, that makes me money!

This report does not take into account all of the other traffic I had from just regular internet keyword searches, which will be a topic for another blog post.

Just Imagine...

My website caters to a small demographic: People whose kids play baseball. I’m guessing there are a few million in the U.S., but my potential is more limited than some.

Imagine marketing a website to a large demographic for a product that millions of people want!

facebook followers

This is what I’ve been able to accomplish on Facebook by writing good blog content and posting it on my Facebook page. Over 12,000 followers and just in the last week I had a 44,735 person post reach!

And it’s just so easy. All you have to do is set up pages in each of the social media websites. Then start posting and sharing. For me, the best two are Facebook and Pinterest, but it will depend on the products or interest that you’re sharing. For example, if you’re writing about make-up or fashion, then Instagram would probably also be great for you since there will be a lot of images that you will promote.

Facebook also has paid promotions you can run

I spent $30.00 on a 9-day, worldwide Facebook ad and the results speak for themselves. My ad reached 38,856 people and my post got 1,284 likes. And, those likes will translate to more of my posts showing up in their feeds. But more importantly, do you see the number I circled in red? I got 73 link clicks to my link at Wealthy Affiliate. And that folks, is where I learned everything I’m doing.

In fact, I’ve found that WA is one of the best money making ideas for stay at home moms (or anyone else), especially because of the social media marketing aspect.

Social Media Manager

Once you get all of your social media accounts set up, it may be a lot of work to maintain them all.  One of the tools people are using to manage all of your social media platforms from one place is Crowdfire.  “Crowdfire helps you discover and schedule content, and manage all your social accounts from one place.”

The Bottom Line

The social media websites have already collected huge mailing lists. I plan on accessing them as much as possible rather than spinning my wheels trying some untested lists that aren’t targeted to my demographics to get followers.
